Short version: this site doesn't collect anything from you directly. The third-party services running on it do, and here's what that means.
Data we do not collect
GenshinCo.de does not collect, store, or process any personal data directly. We do not require user accounts, we do not ask for email addresses, and we do not store any information on our servers. The site is a static website hosted on GitHub Pages with no server-side processing or databases. We never have access to your HoYoverse account, game data, passwords, or payment information.
Google Analytics
I use Google Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they land on. It's basic traffic data, nothing tied to who you are. Google Analytics may collect information such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, and referring URL. This data is processed by Google and is subject to Google's Privacy Policy. If you'd rather opt out entirely, the Google Analytics browser add-on does the job.
Google AdSense
There are ads on the site, served by Google AdSense. Google may use cookies to show you ads based on what you've been browsing elsewhere. Google and its advertising partners may collect and use data to personalize ads, including information about your visits to this and other websites. You can manage that at Google Ads Settings or opt out of personalized advertising through the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out page.
Cookies
I don't set any cookies myself. The ones you'll see are from Google (Analytics and AdSense). These cookies are used for analytics purposes and ad personalization. You can block or clear them through your browser settings anytime. The site also uses localStorage (not cookies) to remember your cookie consent preference.
Cookie Consent
When you first visit the site, a consent banner pops up asking whether you're okay with cookies. You can accept or reject — it's your call. If you reject, no tracking or ad cookies get set. Your choice gets saved in your browser's localStorage so we remember it next time you visit.
Want to change your mind later? You can clear localStorage for this site through your browser settings, or just click the Reset cookie preferences link. That'll wipe your choice and bring the banner back.
